One of the global leaders in personal protection products, Ansell Healthcare, has commissioned experiential agency Sledge to develop a nationwide experiential campaign. The business-to-business experience, entitled ‘Putting safety in your hands’, is designed to bring Ansell’s safety gloves to its target market – the building and construction industry. To stress the importance of personal protection, Sledge has created the Ansell bespoke interactive vehicle from a converted fire engine, which will soon be touring large construction sites in the London area. Around the vehicle, construction and building workers will be able to personally experience the quality of the dedicated range of the protective gloves through live demonstrations and ‘hands-on’ investigation. Experiences, which include a chin up bar and buzz wire game, will enable visitors to test the range of gloves for size, strength, comfort, vibration resistance and protection against chemicals, cuts and abrasions. All visitors will also take away an Ansell glove guard with the aim of helping ensure they remember the experience, while encouraging them to request the products from their managers. “The Sledge team has really excelled themselves by creating such a targeted and show stopping experience,” said the agency’s sales and marketing director Ian Irving. “The converted fire truck will really make a splash as it tours building sites throughout the UK, and the Ansell teams will be on hand to encourage interaction, educate and add a touch of glamour.” Visitors to Interbuild 2008, the UK’s largest trade fair for building professionals, witnessed a sneak preview of the interactive Ansell vehicle recently, before the European tour starts later this month.
